e107

The CMS I would recommend.

sample: http://help.he.funpic.org/cms/e107/

1. download the cms at http://e107.org/download.php?list.2

2. unzip and upload it

3. activate your MySQL database at http://www.funpic.org/mysql.php

4. open e107 on your webspace with your browser

5. follow the instructions (you can ignore the mySQL Version warning)

6. in the next step enter the following:
Code:

mySQL Server: localhost
mySQL Username: your_username
mySQL Password: your_password
mySQL Database: your_username (do not click on the checkbox)
Table prefix: e107_ (can be anything, but has to be different for multiple installations)

7. then create the admin account in the next step

8. delete the install.php with your FTP program

9. enjoy your new e107

Erm, that's an expression... in other words, I'm glad you think e107 is the best CMS as opposed to bloatware like PHP-Nuke.

bloatware it is! took me friggin over 45 minutes to upload PHP-nuke (over 4000 files!), while e107 only takes 16(lot of small files wont let my inet connection get up to speed)

heh cant be forced to make my own php layout Very Happy

The reason it takes a while to upload a lot of small files is because for every file the FTP client and server have to establish an extra connection. If they could use one connection for all files, it could have been a lot faster. Unfortunately, that's a limitation of the protocol. But I can't really blame it - the first version of the File Transfer Protocol was created in 1971 Exclamation
