Hey, thanx guys, for your assessment of that AVG notice.
Apparently they're defaulted to an overly cautious position.

That is only for images. There are plenty of good image hosts. However, the point of this thread was the fact that you could store other files that are >1MB. And if the site you suggested also has a 1MB limit, it is pretty useless here... _________________

its not really "Spam". to me spam is like:
BUY MICROSOFT PRODUCTS 10% CHEAPER THAN RETAIL VALUE!
---
it depends how you look at it.
thanks for sharing...
also, www.imageshack.us is a good no-username picture upload service since hot-linking is not allowed. i think funpic does the anti hot link so it doesnt blow up the server (because it would creat bandwidth problems on larger files). |

Advanced-Microtechnologies contains no virus, it is a friend, I'm in the MMB Community, and a lot of users use it.
Thanks to Microtech (Joe) to help us hosting our files. |
yes, we recommend that you put your download files on a "file host", because those files are not allowed on funpic
Does anyone know, if you are allowed to put your pictures there, to be incorporated into your funpic websites? And will the pictures be visible in your pages, or only available for download?
Since Funpic does not allow external linking, I need somewhere to put my photo's that are used on other website addresses too.
The same thing for scripts. When I use an external Javascript, I can link to it from any address in the internet and have it function there. But not for scripts I have put on funpic hosting.
Funpic is great, but it has its limitations. Funpic users need solutions fot that limitations. |
