Hi,
I just recently created an account here in funpic.org because I have friends who had a good experience with their site here. I've been on other freehosting sites but they don't suit my taste. Now, I'm still familiarizing myself with the control panel and the other features and what I understand is, I can upload my files through FTP only. Not that I'm complaining or anything, but the URL of my subdomain is too long to remember, so I decided to create a shorter subdomain in uni.cc.
Now how do I go about to setting up the nameservers to my uni.cc folder in my FTP?
Any and all suggestions are welcome. |

ftp has nothing to do with it. you have to change the dns entry for the domain.
1. log in at uni.cc
2. try to find something like "a-record" and set it to 213.202.225.90
3. save your settings
here on funpic
1. goto http://www.funpic.org/webhosting_domain_create.php
2. in the first field type www.yourdomain.uni.cc
3. in the second field / thats default
4. repeat step 1-3 but without www. just yourdomain.uni.cc
5. the nameservers renew their cache! this will take some time (it can be a minute or some hours)
then you should be able to access your funpic webspace using the new url. _________________ http://www.conmunix.net the web application security experts |

Thank you for the concrete response, kudos to you.
Anyway, I didn't see an option where I can set the DNS entry in my domain(funpic control panel). Also, I repeated setps 1-3 and now I have two domains:
mydomain.uni.cc
www.mydomain.uni.cc
Thanks in advance. |
